Isn’t it True?

Examine deeply

Your notions of the true.

The froth of the ocean

Is as true as its depth.

Ranking and evaluating and judging

Are intellectual pastimes.

They may or may not

Yield you the wisdom to see.

That when you organize things

From the truest to the less true

The world stands disintegrated

And broken in two.

A true seeing of the true

Will harmonize differences

And create parities

Where none seem to be.

The true may sometimes

Seem false, often inconsistent

And in disagreement with your view

On how things should be

But ultimately the true

Keeps its own promise to be;

Answerable to no one, it remains

In perfect sync with its own potentiality.

Value Yourself

Let go

Of all the excess of life

That has stuck to you

Pare it down.

Remove. Trim.

Give away.

Walk away from sounds

That drown

Your own voice

Reject words

That are untrue

Coming from you.

Listen to your silence

Look at what’s left

When all is gone.

Befriend that residue

Cherish it;

Treasure it.

Aloneness

Is not to be foolishly grieved;

It is to be intelligently valued.

Don’t compromise the time

With yourself

For some base company.

Know where

True fulfilment lies

Value yourself.

Life’s True Calling

Life, that is ever free

Becomes imprisoned within

The walls of the human mind.

Ego, attachment, desire and fear

Do not allow it to move freely…

To come and go-

Without being subject to

Ownership, design, desire…

And moral confusion.

We trap life.

We want it to serve

Our limited sense of self.

But life that is creative and ever new

Will have nothing to do with our staleness.

Itself, free of the past

And open to the future;

Without memory and desire,

It uses time and the illusion of persistence

To create the conditions

By which we come to desire

Our own end.

Can we learn

To meet life with pure presence?

Can we come to see

That the treadmill of the mind

Is not life?

That it has no name,

No designation, no agenda

No attachments, no conditions

That your wish

May be its command,

But not its true calling.
